Five Songs! Friday!
Quick one this week, because I almost forgot and I'm pretty swamped! Very little on my mind this week, but check out John Green's RDR2 playthrough if you need some easy viewing. He's trying to play as a gunslinger with a moral code. It's going okay.
Heart Shaped Wood / The Flooded Road To Glenties / The Leitrim Lilter - The Good Folk
This is just some good trad, in honor of St. Patrick's this week, we're featuring a bunch of Irish artists (though not exclusively).
Tea, Milk & Honey - Angie McMahon
I first heard McMahon when she opened for Hozier many moons ago, and her work continues to shine. This cover from Amerikinda - 20 Years of Dualtone is better than the original (in my opinion) by Oh Pep!
Rabbits Can Swim - Florence Road
I MANIFESTED THIS! Another Florence Road EP will be out this time next week, and this track is the latest to promote it.
They continue to devastate with their lyricism in a way I cannot resist, so congrats to FloRo for being my first returning artist after only one week off.
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses - U2
A classic. One of my personal favorites from a band with legendary highs and lows. (Unlike most of the universe, the free U2 album didn't upset me, but it wasn't a great album, either.)
These Are The Days - Inhaler
If you listen to this list in order, you might notice that this singer kinda sounds like Bono. That's because it's Bono's son, Elijah Hewson, is the lead singer. They've got some great tracks, so I recommend a quick dive if you're unfamiliar.
That's it for this week in paradise. See you next time!
